MILEHAM rounded out 2022 winning a Master Builders Association (MBA) Excellence in Housing Award for our Grand Apartment Living project in Sydney’s beautiful Darling Point

The Master Builders Association of NSW Excellence in Housing is the state’s most prestigious residential building awards. It celebrates excellence in construction, innovation and quality in the building and construction industry in NSW.

The Housing Awards showcases the very best in residential construction and attracts a broad cross section of the residential building sector, including project home builders, contract builders, apartment constructors and contractors specialising in additions, alterations and renovations.
Grand Apartment Living

A new lease of life was given to this residence with a seamless cohesion between the new and existing construction.

This build involves original 1920s architecture which was painstakingly maintained, restored, and replicated. One of the biggest changes was the welcoming of natural light by opening up the out-dated floor plan to create more open plan living spaces. These structural works included the removal of the wall between the living room and the third bedroom to make way for a new dining room.

Noteworthy finishes include Sisal flooring, wall-to-wall custom joinery for additional living storage, custom TV cabinet and storage, a bathroom vanity, along with new wainscotting and a new shower screen.

Necessary electrical works, painting and decorating works were also conducted to complement the new finishes and bring cohesion throughout the apartment.
